The official MT8052iP datasheet specifies EasyBuilder Pro V6.08.01 or later. The exact MT8052iP model should be selected when creating or converting the project.
What is the difference between MT8052iP and MT8052iP(V1e)?
They are separate hardware versions. The standard MT8052iP has 256 MB flash memory and 128 MB RAM, while the MT8052iP(V1e) is listed with 128 MB flash and 128 MB RAM. Confirm the complete model on the product label before selecting the EasyBuilder Pro target.
Can COM1 and COM3 both be used for MPI communication simultaneously?
No. Both RS-485 2-wire interfaces support MPI at 187.5 kbit/s, but only one can be used for MPI communication at a time.
Can the MT8052iP be programmed directly through a USB client cable?
No USB Client port is provided. The unit has one USB 2.0 Host port, while the official installation guide describes downloading EasyBuilder Pro projects through the Ethernet port using the HMI’s IP address.
What should be considered when installing and powering the MT8052iP?
The panel opening must be 119 × 93 mm, with a maximum panel thickness of 4.5 mm. Use a SELV power supply within 24 VDC ±20% and allow for a startup current that can reach 2 A.
