Frequently Asked Questions
Which software is required to program the MT8106iE?
The MT8106iE is configured with Weintek EasyBuilder Pro. The official datasheet specifies EasyBuilder Pro V6.08.01 or later.
Can the MT8106iE communicate with Siemens MPI devices?
Yes. COM2 and COM3 RS-485 support MPI communication at 187.5 kbit/s, but only one of these MPI-capable ports can be used for MPI at a time.
Can every RS-232 and RS-485 interface be used simultaneously?
Not in every combination. COM1, COM2 and COM3 share connector resources. For example, COM3 RS-485 4-wire is unavailable when COM1 RS-485 2-wire is used. When COM1 and COM3 are both configured for RS-232, COM1 is limited to Tx and Rx without RTS/CTS.
Is the entire MT8106iE enclosure rated IP65?
No. The NEMA 4/IP65 compliance applies to the front panel when the HMI is correctly mounted and sealed in a suitable control enclosure. The rear housing and connectors require enclosure protection.
Does the MT8106iE support remote access?
The official specification lists Weincloud EasyAccess 2.0 as an optional function. Activation, network access and appropriate EasyBuilder Pro project configuration are required.
