The PFXST6500TADE is a Pro-face ST6000-series programmable HMI designed for machine visualization, equipment monitoring and operator control. Which programming software and version are required for the PFXST6500TADE?
This is the GP-Pro EX version of the ST-6500TA. Pro-face specifies GP-Pro EX Ver. 4.09.400 or later for this model.
Can the PFXST6500TADE replace the PFXGP4501TADW?
Pro-face lists the PFXST6500TADE as a recommended substitute for the PFXGP4501TADW, and both use a 301.5 x 227.5 mm panel cutout. However, the project must be converted in GP-Pro EX, the resolution changes from 640 x 480 to 800 x 600, and the USB device connector changes from mini-B to micro-B. Existing serial cables, accessories and screen layouts should therefore be checked before installation.
Does the PFXST6500TADE support multitouch operation?
No. It uses a single-touch analog resistive panel. Touching multiple points may be interpreted as a touch at their center position, so applications should not rely on simultaneous touch operation.
What SD card capacity can be used with the PFXST6500TADE?
The integrated SD card interface supports capacities up to 32 GB. SD card access should be stopped before removing the card, and important data should be backed up regularly.
Is the entire PFXST6500TADE protected to IP65F?
No. IP65F applies to the front face when the HMI is correctly installed in a solid enclosure using the specified gasket and mounting procedure. The rear section is rated IP20.
