About Omron EE-SX670-WR NPN Slot Photomicrosensor
The EE-SX670-WR is an Omron EE-SX67-series pre-wired slot-type photomicrosensor designed to detect small opaque objects passing through its 5 mm through-beam slot. It is commonly used for mechanism positioning, origin detection, counting, and object-presence confirmation in compact automation equipment.

- 5 mm slot-type detection: Provides stable through-beam detection without requiring separate alignment of an emitter and receiver.
- Small-object sensing capability: Detects opaque objects measuring 2 × 0.8 mm or larger, with differential distance limited to 0.025 mm.
- Selectable output operation: Supports Dark-ON or Light-ON operation through the dedicated L terminal.
- NPN open-collector output: Directly switches loads up to 100 mA for connection to compatible PLC inputs, relays, and control circuits.
- High response frequency: Delivers a response frequency of at least 1 kHz for counting and position-detection applications.
- Wide DC supply range: Operates from 5 to 24 VDC, supporting a variety of industrial control circuits.
- Flexible robot cable: Includes a 1 m four-core robot cable for pre-wired installation and applications involving repeated movement.
Important wiring note: leave the L terminal open for Dark-ON operation or connect it to the positive terminal for Light-ON operation. Do not connect the L terminal to 0 V when using Dark-ON.
